Preview and test
Preview merged rows, navigate recipients, and send a test email to yourself before a campaign.
The preview pane (right side of the root dialog) shows how a message looks for the active sheet row.
What the preview shows

If Remove branding is off, the preview includes the MailG watermark footer (made and sent with / MailG / Email Marketing from Gmail).
What is not shown
- CC / BCC rows are not rendered in the preview UI (even when mapped under More options). They are still applied at send time.
- Attachment column values are not shown in preview.
Navigate rows
Preview toolbar:
- Edit template — opens the update-template screen
- Previous recipient / Next recipient — move between data rows (tooltips may include the sheet row number; header is row 1, so the first contact is row 2)
Send me a test email
- Configure template + recipient column so preview is valid.
- Open the send menu (chevron) → Send me a test email.

Test email sent successfully. Check your inbox. - Failure toast:
Failed to send test email. Please check your email settings. - Guard if preview is incomplete:
Configure your preview first
The test goes to your Google account inbox, using the active preview row’s merged body.
Tips
- Step through several rows with the arrows before a full send
- Confirm branding / no branding in preview
- Always test before Schedule send or a large Send N email(s)
