Templates
Create, manage, edit, and delete MailG email templates from the start dialog.
Templates store the subject and rich-text body you reuse across campaigns. They are saved to the MailG API for your Google account.
Create a template
- On the root screen, click New Template.
- Fill in:
- Template Name
- Email Subject
- Body (rich editor — see Rich-text emails)
- Click Save Template (shows Saving... while working).
Toasts:
- Loading:
Creating Template... - Success:
Template created successfully! - Error:
Failed to create template! Try again later.
Demo template from Fill with mock data: name My First Template, subject I found a mail merge tool for Gmail.
Manage templates
Open the template icon next to the template select (tooltip Manage templates).
Table columns:
| Column | Content |
|---|---|
| Name | Template name |
| Email Subject | Subject line |
| Created At | Creation date |
| Actions | Row menu |
Row menu: Edit | Delete
Footer: Back
Delete toasts: deleting template NAME → template NAME deleted successfully (or a failure message).
Edit a template
Open Edit from manage, or click Edit template in the preview toolbar.
Same fields as create. Save Template updates the template.
Update feedback
The update flow shows a loading toast (Updating template...). Stay on the form until it finishes, then use Cancel or Back if you are not returned automatically.
Subject vs body
- Body supports merge tags — they are injected per row at send time.
- Email Subject is sent as stored today (merge tags in the subject are not replaced yet). Put personalization in the body, or use a fixed subject.
