Common questions about the MailG for Gmail dialog, sending, quotas, and billing.
Installation & open
How do I open MailG?
Extensions → MailG for Gmail → 🚀 Start. See Installation.
No email address found in your sheet
Add emails to a column, or click Fill with mock data. See Start dialog tour.
Could not reach the MailG API
Check network / API URL (self-hosted: APP_URL + APP_API_KEY). Reopen the dialog after fixing.
Sending
Emails are not sending
Check Daily quota, Gmail permissions, and that Recipient column cells are valid single emails. Failures show ⚠️ Failed.
Do subject merge tags work?
Not yet. Only the body is merged. Keep a fixed subject or put personalization in the body. See Merge tags.
Can I attach files?
The Attachments picker exists under More options, but files are not attached on send yet. Link a Drive or HTTPS file in the body instead — see Attachments.
How do I add images?
There is no image embed control. Host the file (Drive Anyone with the link / Viewer works) and use Insert link. See Images.
How do I stop a campaign?
Stopping a campaign — clear sendable statuses on remaining rows. There is no Abort / Pause UI yet.
Does MailG add an unsubscribe link?
Not yet. For cold or marketing mail, put your own opt-out URL in the body if you need one. Built-in One-Click Unsubscribe is on the roadmap (see Features overview).
Why am I limited on Professional?
MailG may allow up to 1,500/day, but free @gmail.com is often capped near 500 by Google. CC/BCC also count toward Gmail recipients — see Multiple recipients.
Tracking
Sheet still says Sent after an open
🔄 Refresh Tracking → expect Tracking info synced. Some clients never load images.
Clicks?
Not tracked. Track emails = opens only.
Quota & billing

Is Schedule send paid?
No. Paid unlocks higher quotas, pacing modes, and Remove branding.
