Send pacing
Space out campaign emails with Burst send, Steady pace, or Jittered gaps (paid plans).
Send pacing adds delay between messages so a large campaign does not leave your account as a single burst.
Paid feature
Steady pace and Jittered gaps require an active paid MailG subscription. Free accounts use Burst send only.
Where to configure
Open the footer gear (tooltip Send pacing). Screen heading: Send pacing.
Under Dispatch mode, choose how emails are spaced. Gap between emails is set in seconds (0–60). Free accounts see Pro features and the locked copy: Free plans use burst send only. Upgrade to Pro to space out your campaigns.
Default for new jobs: Burst send, gap 10s (gap ignored until you leave burst).
Modes

Use a long gap only when you can leave Sheets / the account active enough for the job to finish. If you set the gap too high mid-run, see Stopping a campaign.
Why use pacing
- Reduce the chance of looking like a sudden blast to mailbox providers
- Spread a long list across a quieter send window
- Stay within Gmail comfort zones for your account type
Notes
- Pacing is a campaign setting stored with the job — new sends use the current configuration
- Your effective speed is still capped by MailG daily quota and Gmail’s remaining send quota (multiple recipients also multiply Gmail’s recipient count)
- Competitor tools sometimes express delay in minutes — MailG uses seconds
